Learn Exactly How We Made TIN CAN COMPONENT Last Month

    2026-03-20

Last month, our workshop presented a great opportunity for us to showcase how quickly we respond to market needs as a Tin Can Component manufacturer. In this case, we were able to respond to the urgent need for a special batch of Tin Can Components for one of our overseas customers.

Step One: Alignment of Requirements and The Customization of Our Molds - Week One

At the beginning of last month, our technical department received a request from a customer in the United States for a large quantity of square Pail Lids for Chemical Use with unique sizes which could not be produced from standard inventory. Therefore, the first step in meeting the customer's requirements was to prepare a custom Tin Can Component Mold. After receiving the customer's Drawings, we scheduled a technical meeting for the following morning. The objective of this meeting was to review and validate the Tin Can Component Mold Customization's requirements. We use the terms "Precision" and "Efficiency" in conjunction with our manufacture of custom molds based on the client's specifications.

We were able to make a quick turnaround on non-standard requests due to our capability of making our own molds. Once we confirmed the thickness of the tin plate (the thickness needed for Corrosion Resistance), stamping angles, and other requirements, we sent the Draft of the Mold Design to the customer within 48 hours.

Step Two: Adjusting the Production Line and Performing a Trial Run - Week Two

As an established Tin Can Component China Factory, we have experience in manufacturing Tin Can Components for the Chemical Industry and therefore understand the importance of high-quality seals. After the molds had been completed, we immediately started to set up our Production Floor to prepare to run the new components.

An interesting point about the trial run is that we discovered a few small burrs on the rolled edges of the first molded product. Although these burrs may seem small, they could potentially be a point of leakage on products used for Chemical Use. We immediately stopped the machine to polish the mold edges a second time to ensure all finished edges were smooth and to eliminate the possibility of leakage in the finished product. This commitment to Quality is part of the foundation of our factory.

Step Three: Quality Inspections and Delivery - Week Four

Now that we have completed the last step of the process, we are now at the end of the month and are completing our Quality Inspections. A further examination took place to perform dimensional checks (tolerance controls of +/- 0.1mm) and then to conduct air-tightness testing. The final tin can components that were sent to our customer were actually produced to customer specifications and shipped to the customer's overseas facilities via Sea Freight.

Whether we receive large or small orders, the extent of our capability in Tin Can Component Mold Customization is based on our extensive industry experience. At Toplid, we embrace every opportunity that presents itself.
